Inspire HR comes with a heart rate monitor and works with your phone GPS to enable GPS tracking which the Inspire lacks. As a result, Inspire HR has more fitness tracking features than Inspire. In this post, I compare the differences between Fitbit Inspire vs Inspire HR to help you decide which is worth investing in.

Editor's Rating

As you can see from the tables above, both smartbands are lightweight, compact and the greyscale OLED display can be read easily even outdoors. Both smartbands are also waterproof up to 50 meters which means you can wear any of these to the pool or shower.

The battery life of both smartbands is about the same, you can get up to 5 days from a single charge.
Both smartbands will also alert you when you receive a notification on your phone. Both Inspire HR and Inspire are able to track your daily activities like steps, distance, calories, menstrual cycle, and sleep.

However, where the difference comes in is that Inspire HR has a heart rate monitor and can connect to your phone GPS to enable outdoor activity tracking. As a result of these, Inspire HR can track your fitness level, complete sleep cycle in REM, light and deep stages, heart rate, as well as track your outdoor activities like locations and routes which you can view from the Fitbit App. All these additional features make Inspire HR a more comprehensive fitness tracker.

This is also the reason for the differences in price. Inspire HR will cost you more to buy.

Which Should You Buy?

While you can use any of the two smartbands to track your daily activities such as steps, distance, sleep, and calories, Inspire HR is a more comprehensive fitness tracker, and by extension a better smartband than Inspire.
Inspire HR is a better bargain and a better buy if your budget covers it, otherwise Inspire is still a decent choice.
