One common thing about these two watches apart from fitness tracking is the compact and lightweight design that makes each of these an easy wear on the wrist.
The display on both smartwatches looks very colorful and vivid. Although both are powered by AMOLED, I personally think Active 2 is more colorful.
Apart from the touchscreen support and 2 physical buttons used for navigation on both smartwatches, the Active 2’s digital rotating bezel adds more navigation option that makes it easier to navigate. There are also more watch faces to choose from on the Active 2 compared to Versa 2.
Next, is the fitness tracking features, as I said earlier, each of these two is a fitness-focused smartwatch, perhaps some of the best fitness trackers as far as wearable technology is concerned.
Each of these two will track your steps, calories, heart rate, distance, sleep, and floors climbed. I can’t really tell which is more accurate, but the video below compares the heart rate accuracy of both smartwatches.
The Versa 2 features menstrual cycle as well as blood oxygen tracking which are not present on the Active 2. On the other hand, the Active 2 features ECG and blood pressure monitoring which were recently cleared in South Korea.
Beyond this, the Active 2 has far more preloaded workout modes to choose from than the Versa 2 which allows you to have a maximum of 7 workout modes on the watch at any given time.
Both Active 2 and Versa 2 come with a microphone that enables Bixby and Alexa voice assistant features respectively. I personally think Alexa is more sophisticated than Bixby. Moreover, Active 2 also has a loudspeaker which isn’t present on the Versa 2. You can also make and receive a call from Active 2 as well as play music aloud.
As per battery life, the Versa 2 floors the Active 2 with a longer battery life of up to 5 days or more compared to 2days+ of the Active 2.
Which is Better?
Although each of these two is an outstanding smartwatch with compact and elegant design, fitness-focused, lots of features, and long battery life, I’ll go with Active 2. It’s simply a more sophisticated smartwatch than the Versa 2.
